Water-repellent and efflorscence control admixtures from Rhein-Chemotechnik GmbH are used all over the world in the manufacture of concrete block products.
Our admixture combinations with waterproofing, plasticizing, efflorescence-reducing and color-intensifying properties will impress!
When you apply a waterproofing treatment, the concrete block is protected from the penetration of water and other harmful pollutants that affect the block.
This is achieved by adding an inner lining to the capillary system. Yet water vapor permeability is maintained. Waterproofed concrete blocks are easy to clean and are less susceptible to green growth or efflorescence.
Our concrete block treatments impress even more by enhancing other properties, such as highly intense colors or high structural density. Compression, tensile and bending strength are also positively affected by concrete block treatments.

PLASTOLITH
PLASTOLITH HP3
Product:
PLASTOLITH HP3 is a novel hydrophobic admixture for all kinds of concrete products made from zeroslump concrete, esp. those with colour pigments.
Features:
- reduction of primary- and secondary efflorescence
- colour-intensifying
- improvement of compaction and strength
Field of Application:
PLASTOLITH HP3 may be used in any concrete products made from zero-slump concrete, e.g. concrete paving blocks, tamping flags, landscaping and gardening products like palisades, plant stones etc.
PLASTOLITH HP4
Product:
PLASTOLITH HP4 is a novel admixture for the improvement of concrete flags, produced by hermetic process (e.g. Henke, Ocem etc.) and in the production of coloured concrete flags made from slump concrete.

PLASTOLITH HP5 is a novel water-repellent and efflorescence control admixture for concrete products, especially those made of coloured concrete.

Field of Application:

Product:
PLASTOLITH OptiPave 1 is a multifunctional admixture for the production of high-quality concrete products made of zero-slump concrete by vibro-press process.
PLASTOLITH OptiPave 1 is a combination of highly effective plasticizers with special water-repellent agents. The combination of these active ingredients simultaneously ensures a high bulk density of the concrete structure and an internal sealing of the capillary system with water-repellent substances.
The capillary moisture migration is reduced to a minimum.

PLASTOLITH OptiPave 2 is a combination of highly effective plasticizers with special waterrepellent agents. Product:
ALPHALITH Duraphob® HC is a highly effective and concentrated water repellent agent for concrete.
It’s preferably added to face concrete of high quality, often surface treated and subsequently impregnated or sealed concrete products.
The water repellent effect of alphalith Duraphob® HC leads to a long-lasting hydrophobicity. The water vapor permeability is maintained.

ALPHALITH Duraphob® HC 50

ALPHALITH Duraphob® HC 50 is a highly-concentrated, ready-to-use water repellent admixture for concrete products.

Field of Application:
Hydrophobing agent for the production of concrete blocks. Due to its properties ALPHALITH Duraphob®

ALPHALITH Duraphob® (DM)

ALPHALITH Duraphob® is a ready-to-use water repellent admixture for concrete and mortar. ALPHALITH Duraphob® (DM) minimizes the capillary water absorption and protects from rain, rising moisture, surface water and other entrainment of moisture. ALPHALITH Duraphob®
(DM) significantly reduces efflorescence of concrete products.

Field of Application
Can be used in all high-quality concrete block products, mainly for facing concrete of pavers and slabs.

ALPHALITH Duraphob® SH is a decisive component of the concrete optimization to be applied.
ALPHALITH Duraphob® LS
Product:
ALPHALITH Duraphob® LS is a ready-to-use water repellent admixture for concrete and
mortar.
Features:
- increases the surface tension in the capillaries and blocks the capillaries with water repellent substances
- water suction in the capillaries is reduced to a minimum and the entrainment of water into the concrete or mortar is significantly blocked
- the migration of calciumhydroxide to the concrete surface and thus the occurrence of efflorescence are minimized
- improves the weather resistance of concrete products

ALPHALITH Duraphob® M is a waterproofing sealant for the effective reduction of the water absorption of concrete block products ALPHALITH Duraphob® M minimizes capillary water absorption and protects against rising moisture levels and other ingress of moisture into the concrete.

Product:
ALPHALITH Duraphob® CF is a waterproofing treatment for dyed concrete products. It provides enhanced leak-tightness of the concrete structure and creates an inner seal of the capillary system with water-repellent substances. Capillary moisture exchange is reduced to a minimum. Lime efflorescence is largely prevented.

COLORMENT® HS FC
Product:
COLORMENT® HS-FC is a hydrophobic and plasticizing coating for concrete block products.. COLORMENT® HS F was developed for the production of high-quality slabs and pavers from earth-moist concrete using the vibro-pressing process.
COLORMENT® HS F is acombination of special hydrophobic sealants with very effective plasticizing additives.

FLAGMIX HS is specifically formulated for the processing of semi-dry concrete mixes into high quality flags on tamping presses.
It is a combination of a powerful plasticiser with a special waterproofing compound for reduced absorption rates an efflorescence control.

PAVELITH® AP 400
Product:
PAVELITH® AP 400 is an efflorescence-reducing and waterproofing sealant with a pearling effect, designed to permanently reduce the capillary water absorption of concrete block products. The active ingredients of PAVELITH® AP 400 are chemically bound into the cement matrix. Water vapor permeability is maintained.
